The Folk of The Air Series Adaptation
I just finished this series (waiting for book 3.5 on Libby though) and first of all, I cannot believe it's taken me until now to come across this series. I was in a bit of a fantasy romance slump, feeling like everything I was reading was just all the same regurgitation, and this was exactly what I needed. I genuinely devoured all the 3 books in 4 days.
Second, I cannot believe this hasn't been turned into a show or film yet. If it was, and if it was done well and respectfully and authentic to the books, it would be SO good. But at the same time, I'm so happy it's not yet happened, in case the adaptation is ruined and awful. I also would struggle so much if whoever was cast as Cardan didn't fit, not only visually but also in taking on his tortured, beautiful, complicated, layered personality.
