300lbs on 12/1 when i started rolling 72s...finally found something that works!

26f.

i've broken the last six weeks into cycles of:

72-hour minimum water fast followed by a single nutritious plant-based refeed meal. i'm a volume eater and i don't count calories. i love fruits & veggies, so i pile them on my plate first & just practice eating mindfully until i'm satisfied.

i take a multivitamin in my water & drink snake juice if i feel faint (rarely) or get a headache🧃only water because i'm hoping for autophagy to help minimize loose skin🤞🏾and benefit my overall health.

i did take about 2 weeks off for the holidays! and have slacked off a few times getting to the full 72. but it's slowly getting easier and i'm so happy with the results so far!

there's no way i'd be here without unpacking big trauma and starting to heal my core wounds. that's the hardest work. but it pays off beautifully. slowly, i realized i deserve to love myself and live a better life.

i've been big for as long as i can remember. i've been dieting for as long as i can remember. food addiction is so ruinous and all-consuming. i've felt so out of control and disconnected from my body for so long.

but now i've finally found something that works! i actually feel hopeful. like, i really believe i can do it and i'm ready to see it through.

i want to start lifting heavy in about 3 months (healing from foot injury rn)! for now, i'm mostly walking and building a stretching routine as my exercise.

thank you, thank you, thank you! to everyone who's shared their successes, failures, methods, & advice here. i've been lurking for quite a while and your stories have slowly but surely given me the tools to change my life 🥹
