Seeking updates on USDA hiring assessment
Hello. I'm posting this because I received a Tentative Selection Notice for a Forest Service job back in mid-March and I still haven't received an official offer, despite having finished all necessary pre-hire paperwork and background check stuff by mid-April. I have talked to multiple HR case managers, my point of contact in the Forest Service (who I believe will be supervising my crew lead if/when I start working), and a few other USDA employees, and none of them seem to know anything about the USDA-wide hiring assessment that is holding up the applications. I am wondering if any of you have heard anything about the cause of this hiring assessment or a possible timeline for the assessment. Thank you for your time.
