HSA Bank dumping external brokerage like Schwab
https://hsabank.com/HSABank/Members/HSA-Investment-Options this is the HSA servicer if you have a HDHP like GEHA
They created an internal investment option. I assumed this would be an optional choice. Nope, internal investments will be compulsory either: 1) immediately if you turn on internal option; 2) eventually by 09/2025, period.
I turned it on... Future transfers to Schwab now blocked. I must sell everything there and transfer it back. But of course waiting till market recovers...
Additional internal investment mgt fees of .25% (managed) or .10% (self choices) IF your investment balance is less than $7500 (or was it $2500, not signed in now). These fees are in addition to whatever the underlying investment charges. i.e. if VOO is .03%, now you pay HSA bank an additional .10% for the privilege IF you have less than $7500 in your investment account.
Since I only invest in index funds, the majors i searched for seemed available. Not sure about more nich investment ETFs
