Fender Tokyo Store...

So I have a unique once in my lifetime opportunity coming up this year: I'm turning 50 and I can get myself something "big". ;) For example, when I turned 40, I picked up an archtop USA EVH Wolfgang. Also, my family and I are headed to Japan in March and will be around Tokyo. So, you know, I'm thinking, man, I should go big and get something at the Fender Tokyo store.
- Anyone ever been there? Other than setting aside a lot of time to hangout, have any tips? I'll be with my wife who is a Japanese interpreter. Language won't be a problem.
- The guy in this video mentions that there are Japanese exclusive models. I need to look into those. All the guitars that I have are USA-made, but I would definitely get a MIJ guitar in Japan. Or anywhere else, really. Always heard good things. I have a friend who is a Jackson-endorsed artist and he's had USA ones and a MIJ backup and the MIJ is pretty rad.
- While I've been playing guitar since I was 16 or so, I sadly don't know a lot about the Fender line-up. I'm mostly a rock and metal guy (Have Jacksons, EVH and Les Pauls) , but appreciate the classics. I would never get a Strat with f*cking skulls and blood painted on it. I'd love a strat that has traditional vibes but secretly has some metal DNA like a Jim Root Tele or something. Wider fretboards? Humbucker in disguise? 😂 Maybe I'll just get single coils and drop a mini humbucker in? I dunno, I've never experimented with those.
- Anyone know anything about getting a fully custom guitar done in that store? I'm just a basement brawler level of guitar player. While I have some really great guitars that my friends who are touring pros want to steal, I don't think I deserve/warrant a full bore custom ...unless it's that much less expensive to get a fully custom MIJ guitar.
I only turn 50 once. Might as well go big-ish. :D
Thoughts?
