The cap limit should be raised to 100K to make player vending viable again

It actually happened before the raid. Once mod boxes started to show up, it makes the 40K cap limit unworkable for player vending.

1) Players are going to have very valuable items that they should be able to sell for what it’s worth. And everyone who vends has to find cap sinks if they have anything with a reasonable value. Let’s say someone wants to sell a four star Aegis mod for 20K and a four star Sawbones mod for 20K at the same time (as examples). Why shouldn’t they be able to without immediately being hammered by the cap limit if people actually want to buy them? 2) I don’t think everyone should be poor because some players aren’t able to make caps beyond the 1400 daily vendor cap limit. 3) I don’t think I should have to use third party sites to trade any items that are not dirt cheap. Or use alternate currencies (having to use an alternate currency is a sign that your currency is broken). Or have to use a mule character instead of selling an item to someone else at a reasonable price.

Example: RNG was giving me quite a few two star Agility mod boxes. These are not crazy rare but because of RNG, I found myself with ten of them. I can’t conceive of a reason I need more than five of these, so I put five of them in player vending. I use the default price of 3K caps because I’m not sure if they are particularly valuable or are worthless. I’ll lower the price later if they don’t sell.

I’ve already hit the cap limit that day due to selling an unusual number of plans from holiday gift wrap. I thought they would sit in my vending until next season given how much holiday gift wrap was handed out. But I guess I was wrong. Due to this, I had bought all of the easily accessible Recall cards from the current server. I was a little over 30K in caps.

While soloing the first raid boss, someone bought four of the Agility mods, putting me over the limit. So, I have to interrupt what I’m doing after I kill the boss to server hop to get down my caps by buying more Recall cards.

I’d like to put up more than a hundred mods for sale (prices much lower for less desirable ones, although I have sold Diver’s mods on multiple occasions) but in practice I can’t because of the cap limit.

EDIT

Clarification: the vending price limit would be 40K but the player limit would be 100K.

I think that people are under the delusion that if you have the cap limit at 40K, then you’ll be able to buy a good four star mod for 2K. This is completely untrue, they just won’t be sold in game. And maybe that’s the point for some casual players, they don’t want to have fewer things than the players who grind end game content.

You can’t tell me the game economy is working when so many players talk about always being at max caps.
