Journeyman question: do you join “big” clubs?

I’m currently at the point in my journeyman save where it’s time to move on. I’ve gone from Tokyo Verdy > Wrexham > AZ Alkmaar, where I’ve won the league in two consecutive years and feel like it’s time for a new challenge.

I’ve had “big” clubs come in for me, all of which I’ve rejected as I don’t want to leave mid-season. But I’m hesitant to move to a club that’s already the finished article, and would prefer a bit of a project.

However, I’m keen to retain realism in the save, and it doesn’t make much sense to join a mid table Lyon for £8k p/w, when Newcastle have previously offered £160k p/w.

What would you do?
