Question on Garrick

I leant my book out already so apologies for not having a page number to reference.

I started to assume Garrick was secretly venin after Violet notes at one point that he whips up wind or something like that similar to the tornado/storm that took out her and Tairn (though, we find out later it was Theophanie). Then she comments later in the book during battle that one of Theophanie’s venin disappears in a snap, like Garrick can.

However, I haven’t seen much discussion on those observations so I feel like I’m missing something? Am I? Any clarification would be great since I have a hard time keeping track of all the characters and easter eggs and foreshadowing and so many of you are straight up professionals!
