The lack of a mass producible Colonial tank destroyer.

The Colonial Tank arsenal has always lacked a high alpha damage tank destroyer that could be produced easily, but up until recently the Colonials have been managing without one. But Colonials had pushguns to make up for that in the form of the HV68 prior to 1.0, which had the same HV modifier as the widow and a 45m range. And the infamous Stygian bolt after 1.0 which fired 94.5mm shells at 40m range.

The beginning of the Year long Colonial losing streak we are seeing here can pretty much be linked directly to Collies losing access to their high power push guns and having to rely upon their tanks which simply do not have the "alpha damage" to be competitive in the line centric meta that exists thanks to mines, stickies, and flasks existing. The exodus of veterans from the Colonial faction is certainly a problem and is a factor in their losses, but their lack of a high alpha damage tank destroyer can be seen as the cause for this. And until Colonials get some sort of late game tank destroyer that can be easily produced, we aren't going to see a resurgence of Collies.

As can be seen here, the HTD and Silverhand have significantly higher burst damage than pretty much any Colonial tank besides their battle tanks.

TLDR: Colonials need some sort of tank destroyer that can be mass produced similar to the Widow, to make up for losing the stygianbolt/HV68 pushgun. Otherwise they will continue to have underwhelming anti-tank capabilities.
