How should one proceed when a company changes rates mid banner and doesn't compensate?
Hi all,
I'm not sure if the flair is the correct one, but I'd like to get your input on something.
Klab Games, mainly known for it's Bleach and Captain Tsubasa gacha games, has recently done one "little" thing in a gacha game banner that is currently itching behind my ear.
So here's the thing.
In Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, past Saturday a recap banner went live featuring two units with official kits.
The banner is known as Super Mini Dream Collection, and also allows you to pickup two units you may have interest in, in order to raise the odds to get them, along with the featured ones.
This time, and against common practice, the company added the non official kit version of the featured units into the SSR Pool, meaning you could choose them and raise your chances of getting said units, be it with or without the official kit.
Now fast forward until today, and Klab Games decides to shadow update the game.
They also added the official kit versions of the initial featured players into the very same SSR pool, which now enables the players to increase the rates by three times instead of the initial two, since now not only do you have the main unit featured in the banner, but you can now also pick up the official kit unit on the selection process, along with the non official kit one.
Along with this change, they reimbursed everyone with a mere dreamball - for reference a single pull costs 5 dreamballs.
Now here's the thing: people who pulled on the banner from Saturday to Sunday are asking for a refund, and in my eyes rightly so, because they changed the rates midway and called it a day. People who pull on the banner now legit have better odds at getting the units compared to the people who pulled before the sneaky update.
What's your take on this?
While gacha law is a grey area, I find this shady as hell. Pretty sure if the game had a much larger community this wouldn't go so unnoticed.
Thanks in advance.
