Is it embarrassing to be "The Writer"?

I've come to terms with the fact that I'm not capable of doing more than direct and do the writing for my dream game. It was a hard realization, but I feel a little better now that I've come to it...until the thought hit me.

Isn't it embarrassing to be just the writer?

Like, okay. I have major respect for writers and what they do, and every good game is only as good as it's writing. See, that isn't hard for me to comprehend. But when it comes to me specifically, it feels almost embarrassing? Like it'll go unappreciated by most...

I don't know. Has anyone else felt this way?
