CleverFit is scamming me

I signed a cleverfit gym membership contractt in october 2023. The contract was in German, so the employee with questionable level of English explained the terms to me. In october 2024, After moving approximately 1 hour away, I wanted to cancel the gym membership. Turns out, I had to cancel it 3 months before a certain date. It got renewed FOR A WHOLE YEAR and they are making me pay for a gym i cant even go to. Additionally, I had a promo discount before, but it "ran out", so I am paying triple the regular amount for nothing. How is this legal and what can I do? I am a student and cant afford paying that much.
