Recommendations for a few nights stay in a place that’s max 1-2 hours driving from Glasgow?

We like visiting places with nice scenery. We don’t drink so night life isn’t something we care about. We plan on going between Christmas and New Year period so it would be also nice to know if there is any places worth going that period that has something on as well.
