Help.

I had a check engine light come on for this took it to the dealership since it’s under warranty and they said whoever owned it before me went off-road and got it to dirty so it’s not gonna be covered under a warranty. Anybody have issues with this thing. And have any idea how much it cost. The dealership wants to charge me $1000 to replace this part.
