Conflicting grip pressure advice

A. No more than 5/10 grip pressure so you don't lock up your wrists and destroy fluid movement (makes sense)

B. For outstanding distance, grip strength is an absolute requirement. (Sounds reasonable)

How do I reconcile these comments? Or do I?

Obviously don't want a hard grip for pitching. And I'd rather reach for a longer club than try to crush the grip. But where trying to hit a hard full swing, what's the right advice?
