Storing Files in Google Photos vs. Google Drive | Why does integration suck so much with G-Photos??
Juggling Google Drive and Google Photos has been a real pain for me:
- Google Drive: Better for storing visuals (up to 250MB per Video sometimes), easy to share folders and files with others...
- Google Photos: Visually superior for previewing videos, GIFs, and photos, but lacks the advanced file management of Drive...
My problem: I want to integrate shared files (videos, GIFs, photos) into tools like Notion and Slite, but Google Photos often fails – it shows a thumbnail but freezes when trying to play media. Drive works seamlessly, but I don't want to store the same file twice (once in Photos for previews, once in Drive for integrations), since you then loose the amaznig preview functions from G-Photos in Drive...
I'm confused about where and how to store files without storring everything twice in Photos & Drive. Also G-Photos and G-Drive don’t seem to connect well either....In fact they don´t at all...I am so over dealing with these kinda Problems, haha.
What’s your workaround or advice here?
Any comment is appreciated! :-)
