Why choose Gshock over other outdoor watches

I'm interested in gshocks but im still not convinced to buy one due to its lack of useful functions. Why choose a gshock over a watch like the garmin instinct 2x which is as durable as a gshock has unlimited battery life and has so many more features than any gshock currently on the market or even an apple watch ultra 2 which again has so much more to offer than any gshock
