Help, please.

My mother’s Fiat won’t start and she is disabled and broke. Can anyone recommend a good, kind hearted, inexpensive mechanic who could look at her vehicle to determine if it is salvagable in exchange for a modest fee or a barter situation? If not, can you recommend a reputable salvage company?
