Hurricane Preps. Leave the guns in the safe or elevate them?

We’ve been ordered to evacuate and are doing so because Milton is taking dead aim. I’ve brought as many guns as I can but can’t take everything with me. I’m 50/50 concerned about the storm surge and the wind. We’re talking 125 mph winds and 10-12 feet of storm surge in my neighborhood. Leaving them in the safe would keep them dry in the event that the roof goes but would leave them ruined in a flood. Elevating them would keep them dry in the flood but would leave them exposed to the storm of the roof gets taken and make for an easy target for looters. What should I do?
