Analysis of the gentv.com Skillhouse viewer stats
While this isn't direct evidence itself of fake viewer stats, the stats themselves do provide a compelling case that something is fishy about the numbers on gentv.com. This is also no surprise to anyone but I'm documenting it here anyway.
For this analysis I recorded the view count every 5 seconds over 44 hours.
- The number updates itself roughly every 5 seconds which is unusual for most streaming platforms
- Through a period of 44 hours the viewer counts did not show typical hourly variance of website traffic (day/night cycle, campaign or social media spikes).
- The per-minute stats are similarly consistent with a median of 882 views per minute, min of 666 per minute and max of 1296 per minute.
- Hourly ranges are between 53,064 and 61,596
- The view count is almost perfectly linear when viewed as an aggregate
