Is there any "strategy" against Ricardo? I don't think we have ever seen Ricardo or Takamura come into a fight with any particular strategy, yet they consistently dominate. I think fighting at their level means finding the emergent counter strategy during the match

Takamura finds a read on his opponents then baits them into anticipating one punch, only to switch up on them with directional feints. Ricardo has dismantled every opponent so far from a fundemental level breaking them down, breaking Date's fist to seal the Heartbreak, messing up Billy's shell, staying in the middle to run Woli ragged, then disrupting his insane speed by forcing a stop in his tempo. Had Woli not been going so fast, he would have been able to back up after the eye block, but at that point he was caught unaware.

I don't think the strategy Ippo will use will be something decisive found by Sendo. Ippo will be facing Ricardo far after this match with sendo. Any weakness found will only be possible by future Ippo. And it will only be seen deep into the actual match. Ricardo is not someone who boxes the same in any match, as his counters are always for the particular boxer. So anything he did for Sendo, likely won't be relevant for Ippo. And Ippo doesn't fight anything like sendo anyway. Ippo is a crowder pressure fighter, not a slugger. Sendo will probably deal a big hit on Ricardo and force Ricardo to return fire with big hits of his own. Ippo at this point is far more defensive with multiple avenues or misdirection and blocking ability, as well as his evolved Jab. The match by Ippo will likely be a technical match, if he even fought Ricardo today, as green as Retirement Ippo is.
