During his time as a teacher, was there ever a student that Snape genuinely liked?

He tolerates draco because he's a malfoy and all that, but he sees Draco for the coward he really is and doesn't really like him.

Coming from someone who hasn't read the books, was there any slytherin or maybe other student from another house that Snape respected and actually liked? that guy seems to hate everyone.
