Anyone remember the glowing puck?

When I was younger (late 90’s early 2000’s) one of the stations tried fusing a hockey puck with voodoo magic or something and made it glow on TV and easier to follow. It was really cool and looked like a comet rocketing around the ice during the game. I saw it a couple times and then it disappeared. Anyone remember this? What happened to it?
