Looking for visual resources
Hi, I'm about 35 hours into my Home Inspector course with AHIT. I have no background in trade so there is a lot of verbiage I have been looking up as I go through the material. Like, "flashing" or "trusses". I'm getting a little frustrated that the course doesn't define all the terms within the course. Also, I feel the course lacks a lot of visual examples, and just uses words to describe things. for example, a Palmer valve was described with no image. I googled it and thought "oh, duh, I've seen that before". But I wasn't able to find an image in the context of a sump pump. A lot of the terms I've googled don't seem to be represented in the context of a home.
So I'm wondering, is google the only way? Are there youtubers anyone could suggest that make educational content for new inspectors?
