Give me a reality check

I live in Panama and have recently got on to raw milk, however I have no access to it in Panama. I’ve been considering getting a house cow/family cow just to have my own fresh source of raw milk. I know nothing about farming, it would be a huge learning curve but I do feel passionate about what it could turn into. Do I need a reality check on how difficult it is to have a couple milk cows?
