results from dragon popularity post
So a couple of days ago I made this post asking everyone what their favourite dragon (minus those of the dragon riders those would be too popular) were.
As you can see, it absolutely blew up, and I was spending all my time replying to everyones comments as fast as a could (sorry if it took more than a few hours for you). I thought that it would be just a bit of fun, but now I am dedicated. Since I have gathered so many opinions, I have lots of data to work with to see where the subreddit is in term of favourites (and of course I managed to fix up mine a bit).
So here are the results!
The most popular dragon by far. And I mean very far was... you guessed it.. the Skrill in all of its glory. At least 15% of all favourites were that of the skrill. I really like the Skrill myself, but I think I should voice my favourite as something other than that due to unoriginality.
The second most popular option was Stormcutter. I myself dont really see why, I never found it very cool, I think people overhype its design. But still, I respect your opinion
The third most popular option was the Dramillion. And I can see why, seeing as it is designed to be OP, even if it wasnt in the actual series (or two episodes it was in). I found myself executing a lot of people on the spot then, because I really hate it.
Another good contender was the death song in all its glory. It is personally my favourite dragon, and it was the favourite of quite a few people in the subreddit. Its design, its ability, all perfection for me and lots of others.
Some other honourable mentions were the Timberjack, the flightmare, the screaming death, light furies, night lights and the sand wraith for some reason.
Then we get to the ones that were in the middle, a decent few said them. The triple stryke, the buffalord, the changewings, typhoomerangs, deathgrippers, bewilderbeasts, whispering deaths (one of my favourites), boneknappers, crimson goregutters, hobblegrunts, bewilderbeasts, speed stingers and that pretty much sums it.
Then we get to the ones that I was really surprise there werent more of. The razorwhip, the thunderdrum, fireworm, submaripper, night terrors, shellfires and scauldrons (one other personal favourite), snow wraiths, quakens, red death
Finally we have the ones only mentioned once or twice. These are terrible terrors, cavern crashers, every other colour deaths, foreverwing, raincutter.
