Encountered weird guys while waiting at a busstop. What happened exactly?

I(33M) arrived very early in the morning, and I had to wait somewhere till the hotel checkin time. So I was waiting at a nearby busstop. A middle-aged guy on bike was looking at me with a weird smile. When I saw him, he pointed at his bike and nodded, as if to ask, "do you want to go somewhere on the bike?" Am I overthinking or is this really sx-related? If the latter, is he a pros**? Or does he think I'm a pros***?
