Why are we so busy?

Driving here is such a headache, even if I drive car or ride my bike I get so frustrated how people don't follow lane rules, free left, honking, driving 90 in a single lane but what frustrates me even more is that people driving car or bike or auto use phone while driving as if they are making a billion dollar deal, trying to talk to a soon to be deceased relative or god knows what.. What do you think why people use their phone while driving, that it can't wait 5mims to park and talk or text ? Best answers will get my up vote.. but seriously why are we so busy?
