Hysterectomy 1yr ago and questions about sex after

23F Backstory: I’ve had terrible periods my whole life and tried different birth controls (pill, patch, nuva ring, depo provera) until I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 20 by exploratory surgery. I then was on a test trial medicine (Orilissa) for two years which worked great but was only approved for use for 2 years at high dose due to potential cause of osteoporosis among other things. I decided to move forward with a hysterectomy at 22 instead of living on birth control and prescribed pain medicine. I had my uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes removed but kept my ovaries.

I am very happy now, living pain free, and have even got back into playing sports and working out. However, I’ve noticed the day after having sex I have cramps and some discomfort. Sometimes, it is even painful and hard to move around. How normal is this? Is there anyway to prevent this, such as lubes or other things? (May be relevant: I’m monogamous and have been with the same partner for multiple years and we are both std free.)
