I suck at bending

After around 2 and a half months in the trade, I am finally getting into bending some pipe. I have the basics and down like deducts and 90s but damn every time I try to do an offset it sucks ass. I have mostly been doing 10 and 30 degree offsets and while I have the measurements right and think I stop at the right degree (parallel to the line on the bender) it still tends to be closed and I have to go back to try and fix. Or if I have to do an offset and another offset on the same pipe, or an offset and a 90 is where I mess up, usually flip things around and end up having to use a coupling. This isn’t too big of a deal as all of it is getting covered by drywall. But damn I just want to be good at it. Should I be using a level or something for offsets?

Like I said I just started bending so any tips and tricks would be appreciated.
