Stowe has some BALLS charging $30 for parking today

Obviously, the resort doesn’t have any control over the gnarly wind conditions the last two days. Yesterday it was very obvious to make a call that nothing was gonna open. The communication today, however, is a disgrace.

Delayed opening at 9a makes sense. However, if you’re only opening toll house and adventure triple (to soak up the money from scheduled lessons), let people know that as far in advance as possible. Collecting $30 per car for people to park at Mansfield when nothing is open yet is shitty business. As is allowing people to park at toll house or XC and take a shuttle to find out nothing is open. I guess people can freeze on the toll house double in negative double digit wind chills.

Stowe/Vail has done the impossible and made me feel bad for the vacation week crowd.
