What was your biggest disappointment(s) of 2024?

1- I decided to stop buying IEM’s and reduce my collection in mid 2024. I managed to really trim down my collection and focused on tip rolling and pairing ALL my IEM’s with specific cables. While cable shopping I did a blind buy of a new IEM I hadn’t heard about from a favorite brand of mine. That led me to another random buy and another and now I’m back to having more IEM’s than I wanted to have. NOWHERE near as many as I had at my peak but I really wanted to be done buying for the foreseeable future and maintain fewer pairs…………

2- Tip rolling is what I’m trying to focus on and during 11/11 - BF/CM I didn’t buy a few different ones I’ve been wanting. Now they are back to “normal” price and for some reason I just have a hard time dropping $20 for a single pair of tips. I want to try the COREIR tips but $20 each? The ANGEL EARS AE100 were a total bust for me and that kinda made me cautious on blind buying tips now.

3- LaFitEar LV 1 was a let down. Their LF3 Pro is an awesome, unknown Banger of a budget IEM so I had high hopes the LV1 would be good. It’s tuned with way too much bass from the DD that overtakes the rest of the frequencies. The Planar is drowned out so the technicalities it should have just can’t come through because of all its muddy bass.
