Trazodone to Amitryptiline?

Hey all!

I've been taking trazodone for insomnia for years and it's the only thing that works for me. I've tried to get off of it many times and done so strictly following my psychiatrists advice, but I literally cannot sleep off of it.

My husband and I are trying to conceive rn and my old psych left the practice so my new psych is trying to switch me to amitryptiline. What are yalls experiences? Anyone able to switch from trazodone?

Rn I take 25 mg of trazodone (lowest dose in case I get pregnant), along with half a unison sleep tab, magnesium glycate, and melatonin.
