Is there any reason most places recommend skipping breakfast vs dinner on 16/8?

I've been skipping breakfast for about a year now, but with 2 young kids, I'm starting to feel like I'd rather fuel up in the morning and be done eating after noon or 1. I don't see skipping dinner discussed very much though, seems to always focus on skipping breakfast and then eating from 12-6 instead.

Is there any science-backed reason to skip breakfast instead of dinner? Or it doesn't really matter what time of the day your window is?
