Would you drive 35 miles for a job?

For reference, I am a recent grad working at a job unrelated to my field where I average $20 (17.60 base pay), part-time at 20-27hrs a week with benefits, less than a mile away from my house.

This new job where I might be starting is offering between $20-25/hr, full time, benefits, and is related to my field. However, it’s 35 miles away, averaging about 40 minutes each way.

I love where I live right now and don’t want to move. I would need to fill up my car at $50/week. Thoughts? How is commuting like for you?

EDIT: Wow, thank you all so much for the feedback and insight. I just wanted to add a little more context.

I’m thinking if I’m offered the job on the higher end of the pay scale ($24+), then I will take it, work there for a year, then leverage my experience to get a better position closer to home.

My living expenses aren’t super high due to living with my girlfriend (and getting a really good price for an apartment). Also, what really catches my attention about this job are it’s working hours:

Monday-Thursday 7:00-4:30 Friday 7-12

So my only gripe is having to drive back home, since traffic picks up, but waking up early is no problem at all. I currently wake up at 3:30am most days. But I digress, hearing your perspectives have really helped me.
