Know the required laws 1. A private body cannot legally detain anyone without a threat to their life. If the wardens stop you, ask them for a display of the legal notice where the local authorities have sanctioned the wardens to do so. 2. The police cannot legally detain you for more than 24 hours so how can hostels? As of 12:30PM tomorrow the hostels LEGALLY HAVE to lift their restrictions. 3. Article 19 under Constitutional and Human Rights states freedom of speech by speech, writing, printing and other means. 4. Freedom of Assembly further states that citizens can peacefully protest without arms. This also entails that we can NOT cause destruction of property, life and law and order. 5. Freedom of Association under Article 19 states that citizens can form associations, unions and cooperative societies. 6. Students who have been assaulted physically are in their FULL LEGAL RIGHTS to file a FIR for which we will organise a march to Chandrashekharpur Police Station. 7. Article 21 states right to dignified living, hostels cannot legally prevent you from receiving your parcels and similar as seen in the QCs today, for which YOU ARE ENTITLED TO WRITE AN INFORMATIONAL REPORT. 8. Beyond 6PM if the protest continues, GIRLS CANNOT BE DETAINED BY FORCE ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A FEMALE POLICE OFFICER. 9. Authorities CANNOT search your phones without a legal notice from a judge. DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR PHONES NO MATTER WHAT.

NOR ARE WE GIVING UP OUR RIGHT TO INFORMATION AND TRANSPARENCY ABOUT OUT FELLOW STUDENTS, WE WONT BE GIVING OUR RIGHT TO SPEECH ABOUT THE ATROCITIES HAPPENING AGAINST US.
