Killteam combat with Necromunda narrative?

Hey folks, I've searched the subreddit and haven't really seen anything like this so I hope I'm not asking an FAQ or something, but:

Has anyone tried playing Killteam combat, but using Necromunda campaing/narrative rules? I feel like if the same rules applied to all teams it would kind of be self-balancing? But I don't know if that's accurate.

I ask because I'm JUST getting into Killteam (played my first game yesterday, planning on buying the Votann teams when I get paid) and it was a lot of fun and there are several people near me who play it. However, I'm really interested in the narrative/campaign rules for Necromunda, and most of my friends expressed interest in that too, but nobody actually has Necromunda minis.

And from what I understand, Narrative is no longer really an option for Killteam? At least not with the new rules, and I don't know if the old rules were pulled because they were unbalanced or something.
