Learning Tablet

Looking to buy a new tablet for our 5 year old. Our family is pretty spread out, so we travel a lot. I want something that has primarily learning games and apps. We have an iPad for her to watch programs, but we would really like to cut down on mindless shows when we are at the airport or flying. She does other activities like coloring and such, but obviously there is limited space on a plane. Parental controls that limit access to the internet, and wireless headphones pairings are a must. Anyone found something they LOVE? She is currently a beginner reader, and can sound out words, so anything that has games to work on reading skills would be great! She is also working on simple math, and she really enjoys it.
