Who uses their Kindle without a case?

I’ve always loved reading, but only just recently decided to purchase a kindle. I live in Japan and it’s not always easy, cheap or convenient to find copies of physical books that I want to read.

About a month back, I was trying to get a copy of Exodus the Archimedes Engine. However, the hassle (price included) of getting my hands on one really put me off. So I joined this sub and have been lurking everyday since!

Early Black Friday sales started yesterday and I pulled the trigger. Ordering 2 kindles. One for me and one as a present for my wife, so we can read together.

Currently heading home from work as we speak, eagerly awaiting the delivery that’s already been dropped off! Both my wife and I are very excited!

Which brings me to what I wanted to ask about. Cases. For my iPad and iPhone I’ve always been a folding case type of guy.

But idk, I feel for my kindle I kind of want to keep it light. I am toying with the idea of just keeping it naked so to speak, with a nice sleeve or pouch to keep it in when not in use.

How many people use it in this manner? Do I need/ do you use a protective screen cover/film? Does anyone have any cool pics of a leather sleeve or pouch that you’re using?

I do have a little trepidation about going naked… so to speak, but anyway… please let me know how it is for you guys. I’d also really love any pics. Particularly of leather sleeves or pouches.

Also any recommendations for a good microfiber cloth brand for cleaning!

Thank you!

Edit : After lots of thought, I’ve ordered and am going to try a clear case for the back, (no screen protector for now, see how I go) and a leather sleeve/pouch thingy coming from Esty.

I also spent the afternoon making a custom Nier screensaver, which came out pretty cool! All in all, an afternoon well spent!
