Health law and policy institutions

TLDR current MD student planning to pursue MD/JD and will apply to laws next fall for admission to Fall 2026 cohort. Naturally want to attend a school that has a focus/reputation/and lots of opportunities in the healthcare and health law/policy space. Problem is that I am struggling to identify what schools fit the bit.

I am trying to learn the lingo on here and think the applicable terms are nURM, nKJD, 3.9x from college, 169 but planning retake in Summer 25. Who knows what my “softs” are but nothing really remarkable.

My first plan was to blanket apply to reputable law schools with the logic that if a school is affiliated with an overall high level academic institution and/or is T14 or whatever, it’ll have good opportunities in whatever space its students are interested in. But, I worry if I am missing something because I found a list of “top health law schools” and for example Columbia was at #60. Now I know these lists are often garbage, but it was still confusing.

Anyone know of a good place to find a list of the best schools for health law and healthcare stuff in general? Or should I stick to my original plan and just apply to as many good schools as possible (pending LSAT score)?
