Married Couple - Husband threatening to call police...

Does anyone know what the law is in IL regarding parental rights for couples who are still married? We have a young child together and I'm wanting to take th child to visit family. My husband said he would call the police if I took the kiddo. There is no history of incapacitation or domestic violence filed and no "incident" between us triggered my desire to visit family for the day with our child. TIA!
