What are some ways a character could explore gender identity that's non-cliché?
Hey everyone,
So I'm currently writing a screenplay where my male protagonist is figuring out their gender identity and/or sexuality. They go to a really welcoming queer barbers and the community he meets there help him to explore and become more accepting of himself.
I'm trying to figure out non-cliched ways to show his exploration and almost like mentorship from the community.
Based on people's experiences and ways you'd like to see representation, do you have any suggestions?
