Where to start in the SF Bay Area

What's up everyone, I've been reading and enjoying this forum and quite a few YouTube channels on guns like Honest Outlaw (who I'm quite sure isn't a liberal gun owner lol) for a long time now. I've never owned a gun and would like to get my first. I've come to the conclusion that the best way to "pick a gun for me" is to try them out and learn how to use them.

That said, was wondering if anyone might be able to recommend a place to learn how to shoot, practice shooting and test out different guns in the Bay Area, ideally east bay but I'll drive, chill attitude is most important. And I know it's probably too much to ask, but without a lot of right wing rhetoric being thrown in my face. Thanks gang.
