Help pls

So I'm very new to the game probably 3-5 hours. I'm on canto 3 and I'm stuck because I don't have a team, don't know what to use/what's good and what goes with what, and not lnowi what to uptie. My best id rn is most likely my 3 star Diecie assoc. Hong lu with two upties (I want to make a team around him currently). I also want a team I could go for in the future. I'm really confused and don't know what to really do team building wise. Please help
