What's your favorite trope in a story?

As the title says, what's your absolute favorite trope to read in a story? Either something that just really hooks you in, or has you on the floor laughing.

Mine would be when a character meets someone incredibly strong, and they say their name only for the character to respond with a "who?" Even better when they start listing off other names, only to receive nothing.
