Best city centre doc/GP to register at for emergency prescription

So my gf and I are in Manchester for a few days and she needs an emergency prescription. We've been told she has to register at an English GP in order to get one. Any suggestions or will any do? We'll be staying near Victoria station.

We tried 111, ringing her registered GP and chemist's in Manchester but no joy. As she's Scottish, they can't send a prescription request across the border apparently... which is so stupid.
