Why is low gold this season harder than high diamond last season

I ended diamond 1 with a 65% win rate last season, I didn't play much but I'm confident I could have climbed much higher if I played more.

This season has been hell. There's no other way to say it. I ranked in at gold 3, BARELY climbed to gold 2, then sank all the way to silver 3 and un-installed the game.

I've had multiple games where I drop >30 elims, the next highest on my team is 10, and I lose. Matches are BLATANTLY rigged against me.

Wtf is going on?
