The MCU needs more truly evil villains without redemption arcs.
The ones you can't empathize with, I mean.
I feel like there's a trend to humanize every villain with a sad backstory that people can empathize with and while that makes for very interesting story arcs it's already getting repetitive. I think there's a need for more villains that are just plain terrible people with no redeemable qualities and no redemption arcs.
Agatha was pretty evil but she got a sad backstory and now she's with Billy so she's probably on her way to a redemption arc.
Dar-Benn was trying to save her people and you could argue the whole thing was Carol's fault.
Namor, same as Dar-Benn and also kind of similar to Killmonger. He ended up being an ally of the Wakandans.
Gorr, similar to Agatha, sad backstory that made them evil.
Wanda, consumed by grief and later corrupted by the Darkhold.
Loki got a whole redemption arc.
Kaecilius was corrupted by Dormammu.
The Deviants were created by the celestials and were necessary for the development of intelligent life.
Ghost was trying to heal herself and now she's with the Thunderbolts.
Taskmaster is pretty much the same as Bucky, brainwashed, not their fault. Not villains anymore.
I mean, you can keep going, most of them are pretty much the same, they all have that one thing that people can empathize with or end up being redeemed.
I think having more villains like Hela or Kang would be great but sadly we're not even getting Kang anymore.
