This team is frustrating sometimes

I don't get why we're not building around our 2 best players Kirk and Jefferson. The 2 top graded players we have by PFF. In 4 moves we could create an offense that would terrify defenses for the next decade.

Extend Kirk 3 years/120 mil. He offered to stay at 3 years/105 mil last offseason. Keep in mind Burrow now makes 55 mil a year and 40 mil is tied for 10th highest paid matching Stafford.

Extend JJ after Kirk is signed. That's been the real problem with negotiations. JJ don't want to play with a scrub QB during a rebuild.

Those 2 moves right there make the Vikings infinitely better. Losing Kirk and not being able to extend JJ aint it.

Move 3 is how we flip the script. The Pats are open to trading out of 3. Go get Marvin Harrison Jr. If it takes 3 1sts so be it. You put Kirk out there throwing to JJ, Harrison, Addison, Hockenson. Vikings football would be fun again. Kirk rocking 400 to 500 yards a game.

Move 4 is the easiest and thats sign a good FA RB. There's a bunch of good RBs available. Henry is my favorite. Barkley works. Maybe Jacobs.

Those 4 moves are pretty easy to pull off. We have to stop this trash trajectory we're headed on. If we end up with some scrub like Darnold over money when we could easily have 71 mil in cap space this year then our front office is clueless. If you want to draft a QB we can do that too. Get Penix at the bottom of the 1st. This idea that we can't spend money and have to enter a rebuild is completely false.

But what about the defense? For starters if Hunter walks we can use that money and sign a FA DE (Not that scrub Davenport either). Then 2025 and on we focus on fixing it. Meanwhile we've already got an offense scoring 35 to 40 ppg. Flores can mold the defense through the following drafts while Addison and Harrison develop. Our SB window opens 2025 or 2026. Then Penix takes over for Kirk 2027 when he retires. Penix should be ready to go and he'll be put in a position to dominate.

This moneyball strategy has got to go. I want Kwesi to succeed but he's too focused on the future. If he wants to keep his job we have to win now. We do that by making sure keeping our elite players is our top priority.
