Question about Monsters vs Phenomenon vs Minions

I'm working out a mystery idea and I'm curious how to best structure what my Hunters are looking for.

The loose idea is that there is a kid in town who is a spooky, but doesn't know it. Basically if they get lost in a day dream or are frightened or overly excited something from their imagination can come to life. Because the kid doesn't realize or is just starting to realize he can do this, I'm treating them like a Phenomenon. I'm thinking whatever they imagine will either be Minions or more Phenomenon based. For example a Minion would be a dinosaur they imagine to protect them from something threatening. A phenomenon could be feeling lonely and wanting more friends causes people around them to be compelled to befriend them.

But I wanted to add some conflict and have something hunting the kid. Since he's so powerful but also vulnerable they become a target for monsters that want to steal their power. The idea being the hunters would have to figure out what is causing the weirdness (the kid) but then need to protect the kid from another monster. Would the other monster be a minion? In the sense that, that monster's story is tied to the the kid's and isn't it's own mystery? Does that make sense. I'm sure i'm overthinking this, but I also love overthinking stuff.
